Wema Bukembe Development Organization
I am Florence Nekesa, and I am writing to thank you for the support, care, and love that you have shown
me throughout my life. I am a third-year student at Kenyatta University, pursuing a degree in sports science and history. However, my journey to where I am now has not been easy, and I attribute my success to the foundation that Wema laid for me.
I was just a year old when my parents separated, and I have been living with my poor and sickly grandmother. Life was tough for us, and we had to do everything possible to make ends meet. My mother and I resorted to hawking fruits on the streets, hoping to make enough money to sustain us. It was not an easy life, and there were days when we had to go to bed hungry.
In 2006, Wema Children's Centre rescued me from the difficult life I was living. They provided me with a
home, food, education, and most importantly, a family. Wema became my new family, and they treated me with love and care. The staff members were like parents to me, and they ensured that I had everything I needed to grow and thrive.I can say without a doubt that it would not have been possible without Wema Children's Centre's support. They believed in me when nobody else did, and they gave me hope for the future.
Apart from the education that I received at Wema Children's Centre, they also instilled values in me that have guided me throughout my life. They taught me the importance of hard work, determination, and resilience, and these are values that I have carried with me to date. They rescued me from a life of poverty and despair, and they gave me a new family that has become a significant part of my life.
In conclusion, I want to thank Wema Children's Centre from the bottom of my heart. They have made a significant impact on my life, and I will forever be grateful for their kindness, support, and love. I hope that Wema Children's Centre will continue to provide the same level of care and support to other children who may find themselves in difficult situations.
Thank you once again, Wema, for raising me and giving me hope for the future.
Sincerely,
Florence Nekesa.
