On Saturday, August 24th, 2024, the Wema Girls’ Cup August 2024 tournament took place, and we extend our warmest congratulations to the Mulembe Starlets for winning the championship and taking home the trophy! We also commend the Nzoia Queens, who secured the 1st runners-up position, and the Bukembe Sliders, the 2nd runners-up. Congratulations to all the teams for their participation and dedication to nurturing their talents.

We express our heartfelt thanks to the Lions Club of Bungoma for their generous donation of 5 cartons of biscuits and 5 soccer balls. Our gratitude also goes to L’Oréal’s Nice & Lovely for providing 30 caps, 16 t-shirts, and 2 cases of lotions for our girls. We sincerely appreciate Khetia Drapers for donating 10 cartons of Magic Energy Drink (300ml), 17 cartons of Frutyka Juice (300ml), and 10 cartons of Kabarnet Water (500ml).

A special thank you to Stery Supermarket for their generous contribution of Ksh 25,000, including Ksh 13,000 in cash prizes for the top four teams and Ksh 12,000 to cover the payment for referees, the MC, the public address system, and the venue. We also acknowledge Eric for his donation of Ksh 5,000, which helped secure tents and seats for the event.

Our deepest appreciation goes to the Wema girls who participated and made this day a resounding success. Finally, we thank everyone who joined us to celebrate the incredible talents of our young girls.

It was a day of joy, food, drinks, and fun, and we eagerly anticipate our next tournament in December!
