In her speech at the Wema EmpowerHer Conference, the CEO of Wema BDO, Ms. Elizabeth Jumah, shared exciting updates and insights into the organization’s current and future projects aimed at empowering women. She began by emphasizing the importance of innovation and inclusion in driving the organization’s mission to provide women with opportunities for growth and success in various sectors. She highlighted key programs, such as Wema Girls Cup, a soccer program that empowers 350+ girls through elementary football training and life skills training. Wema TTI, which has provided skills to 40+ students in plumbing, masonry and ICT skills. The registration for January intake is ongoing. She also touched on the importance of creating supportive ecosystems where women can thrive, not just in their careers, but in their personal lives. The CEO concluded her speech by inviting other organizations, partners, and women themselves to join in creating a more inclusive future, emphasizing that together, we can achieve a world where women are empowered to lead and succeed.
