CASE STUDIES
Today we had our tenth session of Climate Change and Environment. We looked at the case studies on the impact of climate change.
Case studies tell us how things have been done in the past and guide us to our future steps. They inspire us to learn
from the lessons of the past and improve the future. The following are the case studies we explored;
• The Chipko movement in Uttarkhand;
• The Fukushima nuclear plant accident in Japan;
• Oil spills and their prevention; and
• Project Tiger, the way habitats were created for the preservation of tigers all over India.
